Age of Empires 4 is a real-time strategy game made by Relic Entertainment in collaboration with World’s Edge and published by Xbox Game Studios. This game is the fourth in the Age of Empires series. On October 28, 2021, the game was made available for Windows users.
Age of Empires 2 was released more than two decades ago and became an instant RTS classic, and Relic tried to replicate that magic with Age of Empires IV.
With a variety of play modes, tutorials, and difficulty levels, Age of Empires 4 has something for everyone, whether they’ve been playing RTS games for decades or are just getting started.
Age of Empires 4 begins with eight civilizations, which may appear limited compared to AoE 2’s initial 13 empires, but the regions represented at launch are far more evenly distributed.
However, you begin with the English — or the Normans — before moving on to the Abbasids, the Delhi Sultanate, the Mongols, and the french. The Battle of Hastings and other familiar battles are reprised in Age of Empires 4, but with a few significant changes.
