O&O ShutUp10++ is a free anti-spy tool for Windows 10 and 11 users. This small utility enhances your privacy on Windows 11/10 and prevents Microsoft from collecting your personal data.
Although Windows 11 doesn’t cost you any money, the catch is you have to sacrifice your privacy.
The OS spies on its users in many ways, but if you spend some time investigating the OS, you can turn off these snooping settings.
However, it seems to confuse users and prevent them from taking control of their data. Microsoft deliberately scattered the privacy settings throughout the windows.
Fortunately, O&O Software developed a free program called O&O ShutUp10 to help users increase their privacy while using Windows 11 and Windows 10.
Even though its name is a mouthful, the newest version of this excellent tool for adjusting your privacy settings in Windows makes some welcome improvements. O&O has added support for Windows 11 22H2 to ShutUp++, meaning that you can still protect your privacy even if you upgrade to the latest update of Windows 11.
In another major update, O&O has split the program’s interface into tabs for the individual user (that’s you) and the computer itself (see screenshot).
This is helpful if you share a computer with people who aren’t as privacy-conscious as you are because they can disable or enable specific Windows features system-wide but not for your account.
If you’d rather use a separate password manager, the update also provides the option to prevent Edge from saving website passwords.

About O&O Shutup10++:
This free tool brings together all of Windows 11 and Windows 10 privacy settings on a single screen. Adjusting them is as simple as switching each option from On to off.
This software is portable, you don’t even need to install it. Just run the tool, and either apply the recommended settings by the program or individually choose which privacy options to disable or enable.
O&O ShutUp10 has over 60 privacy tweaks arranged in categories including Security, Windows Defender and Microsoft SpyNet, Privacy, Location Services, Cortana, User Behaviour, Windows Update and miscellaneous.
Once you launch the application, the sliding switch activates and deactivates the corresponding feature. A green switch indicates your privacy is protected and the red one indicates the default Windows 11 settings (potentially a privacy risk) are in place.
Before applying changes in the settings, the program suggests creating a system restore point and this will allow you to undo changes.
Also, changing some settings will require a system restart and new Windows updates may revert settings to their previous state.
It’s advisable to run O&O Shutup10 whenever your Windows 11/10 system receives new updates and applies changes if the update resets privacy settings.
Overall, O&O ShutUp10 is a free and safe-to-use program that stops Windows 10 from spying on users without installing unwanted software.
