From now on you’ll be able to move your WhatsApp chats history and memories from your iPhone account to your Android device with ease. Google has added a new transfer feature to Android OS in collaboration with the WhatsApp team.
Moving to a new phone can be a stressful experience, especially if you are switching to a different operating system from your current one.
It was hard to transfer certain sorts of data from an iPhone to an Android device while moving between the two devices. Things like your WhatsApp chat history — including photographs and voice messages – are examples of this.
Google collaborated closely with the WhatsApp team, and the recent Android 12 update made it easier to transition from an iPhone to an Android device while retaining your WhatsApp history and contacts.
You may now move your chat history and memories from your WhatsApp account on your iPhone to your Android phone in a safe and simple manner.
This transfer function is already available on Samsung Galaxy devices and is currently available on all Pixel phones.
This feature will be available on new smartphones released with Android 12 OS.
Here’s how to move your WhatsApp chats from your iPhone to your Android device:
- Connect your iPhone and Android smartphone through a USB-C to Lightning cable as prompted during the setup process for your new Android device.
- To transfer all of your conversations, media, and other items to your new smartphone, scan a QR code with your iPhone and activate WhatsApp.
- You will not get any new messages on the old device while the transfer is taking place.
Your WhatsApp data securely travels between two phones. Google and WhatsApp worked together to make sure your data was safe during the transmission.
