About Shenmue III
This 2019 action-adventure game is developed by Ys Net and released by Deep Silver.
As with previous Shenmue titles, it features open-world areas intermingled with brawler combat and timed events.
It has a day-night cycle, varied weather effects, non-player characters with daily schedules, and a variety of minigames.
Like the previous Shenmue games, the player controls Ryo Hazuki, a teenage martial artist who is looking for the killer of his father, just like in the previous games.
The majority of the game is spent wandering Guilin, China’s open environment, looking for clues, studying things, and speaking with non-player characters for information.
Ryo can practice skills to enhance their power in the game’s 3D fighting system, similar to the Virtua Fighter series.
To succeed in fast time events, the player must press the appropriate buttons at the appropriate time.
Ryo can earn money by gambling, fishing, woodchopping, and forklift driving minigames, as well as by selling foraged herbs.
Shenmue III introduces a stamina system, which steadily depletes Ryo’s hit points (HP) as the player explores. He loses the ability to sprint while exploring if his HP dips too low. Ryo can replenish his HP by sleeping and eating.
